Hello World!

Hello my lovely friends!  I've been missing from the world of blogging for a few weeks now and I'm SORRY!!  But i'm back and here and i'll tell ya where I've been and all the things I've seen! Basically that is a warning that this blog is FULL of fun stuff and pictures! Just sayin ;)

For the last part of the summer, KGP was on the road! Well, we are usually on the road, but this time we literally packed up shop and traveled. We made some stops at the Main Street Marketplace in Torrington, Then off to the Goshen Fair for 3 days and then to Bethlahem for another weekend. I have to say, it was very exciting to meet new people and I must say, it was overwhelming to hear all the lovely comments from you all.  Its so nice to meet people who appreciate the art or photography.

The Main Street Market Place is held in downtown Torrington and is a Free event for families and people of all ages to come hang out! They have snacks and vendors and entertainment. Its VERY cool.

Our very first, Karin Goodwin Photography!!

He was a trooper! He walked around the fair form 5 to 9 on these stilts and still stopped and posed for a picture!

even  Grandpa stopped in for the festivities. This is My grandpa.. not someone else's! :)

Next up on the list, The "World Famous Goshen Fair" or at least thats what the announcer guy kept telling us. I've been attending the Goshen fair since I was a kid. Its not that its that amazing, but its what we do here in Northwest CT. Its a place where everyone goes, eats tons of crap food that tastes amazing and then rides on the rides, visits with friends and family and then usually checks out the baby pigs. Its Country and Its home <3 Every year, there is an announcer guy on the stereo system that gives updates and tells you the time and all that jazz and he has a magical voice.  Now, although my number one mission this year at the fair was to meet new friends and KGP fans and let people know WE ARE HERE !!!  Well... coming in at a VERY close second was finding out the man behind the voice! Seriously, it sounds weird.. but I just had to know. Well folks, you can rest assured, he was spotted on day number 2 and I have to say, I feel better now.  :)  You are welcome.

So.. Fair number 2, Goshen fair. It was a long 3 days. I tried to be at the booth the whole time so that I could meet everyone, I did step away a few times to stretch the legs and such, but I had back up.. and Entertainers with me at all times.

This here is our KGP booth! It was inside the Barn which was nice when it rained.  Our neighbors were lovely. The BEE people were next to us on

<------- that side.  They had honey sticks and all kinds of fun toys. The marshmallow shooters were like, the talk of the town let me tell you!.  They were SUPER nice.

------> That side of us, was a lady who sold purses and jewelry and headbands and all kinds of stuff.

Across the way was this awesome girl who did crochet hats and yeah, I spent some money over there.

These are my other two helpers/entertainers/food runners! You know and love them! Caroline and Ciara!

Im not sure if its planned or it just happens, but every year they have a liter of piglets at the fair and I make it a point to visit them because they are adorable. Thats really all.

Almost any animal that is soft or fuzzy and cute.. I will love. Bunnies are at the top of that list. I know what your thinking.. "rats are fuzzy, tarantulas are fuzzy.. YEAH, you know what I meant, cut the malarky!

The fair only went to 8, so it didn't get too dark. But I really liked the yellow of the carouse wheel and the blue sky.. Just a little something.

The Goshen Fair was really awesome to be apart of.  We met a lot of new people and hopefully will have the chance to work with all of you one day!

Next up..

packed up and moved to Bethlahem!

At this fair we were Outside and under a tent.  The spot we had was AMAZING. Right across from the main stage, so at night we had all the big concerts happen where we were!  The first night we were there it was a Temptations like band and I gotta tell ya, they had the red vests and the dance moves and I was smitten! Literally no matter what age you were, people were dancing, even kids that were walking by.. were dancing. It was awesome.

Bethlahem Fair!

Her name was Karen. I felt a connection.

This was the Eagles Tribute Band... E2. They were pretty good. No motown band though :(

This was the Hollerin' Contest. Like, literally.. they would just yell things. It was weird. The point was to yell our cows names to call them in from pasture. So these guys would just start yelling names really loud and really fast. After this, the women went and then the kids. It was sorta terrifying.

Im a sucker for a good sunset shot, I mean.. who isn't.  This is a different take on one though. This was on top of one of the barns outside my tent.  I loved the way the light was falling on the birds and they were just hanging out enjoying the end of a long day and really all I kept thinking was.. Mine, mine, Mine, Mine.  If you dont know what I'm talking about, I'm not sure we can be friends anymore.  Yes.. Finding Nemo!

The last day of the fair was September 11th. They had a beautiful ceremony and moments of silence for all of the crashes anniversaries.  You could have heard a pin drop it was so quiet. I remember that terrible day like it was yesterday. I'm so grateful that I didn't lose anyone in this tragedy and so sorry for those that did. This day was in their memory. <3 <3

Hitting up all the fairs was.. Fun.. exhausting.. informative.. and very uplifting.  I hope to see you all again next year!!

A tradition every year for Andrew and myself is to go to the Renaissance Faire in NY.  Its pretty intense. At the faire grounds they literally have a village built.  They bring in actors every year who act as the royal family and everyone talks and dresses in renaissance times. Its GREAT. They even have a shop where you can rent clothing for the day and dress the part. So here it is!

Now, when you walk through the gates.. you come into the park where all the shops are.  To your very left there is a grassy hill and atop that hill stands a wizard. As described by Andrew "He is majestic, stoic, and filled with childlike splendor".  A friend of ours has a few shops at the fair and we talked to him about the wizard and he told us that this guy doesn't even work at the fair!!! He just shows up every day and literally stands there. You can take a picture with him and he sometimes hands you little notes of wisdom and he does it out of the kindness of his own heart! He is amazing.

I just liked the red leaves, this really has nothing to do with the renaissance.

These Pictures were taken at the Queens Royal Chess Match.

This picture doesn't do the frog justice, he was HUGE.

It was just about closing time when we came across this little guy. He was beautiful and kept posing for me.  I loved the colors and just the personality. So pretty :)

I think now we are up to date!  I have been working on a special project. Turn Against Bullying Fundraising Event! As soon as I get these photos done editing, I'll post a sneak peak!

A special announcement! Tomorrow, September 23rd is my friend Zach's Birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACHY!!!!!
