Allie & Casey got married!

Allie and Casey planned a simple backyard wedding, but don't let that fool you!  It was made to look simple and easy, However, it was thoughtfully planned, put together by some pretty wonderful (and talented) people and it was picture PERFECT!

We headed out into the middle of nowhere New Hampshire, a beautiful setting for a wedding nestled in the woods along Province Lake. We weren't sure what kind of day we were headed into.  The weather reports were saying it was going to be stormy and rainy, but by some miracle the storm hit the night before and the day was clear blue skies!

Unfortunately, when the storm came through the night before, the beach and the driveway washed away.. but who needs those things anyway!

Allie and Casey were a dream.  They were just the sweetest and they brought their cat.  I mean, if that isn't a sign we were meant to be friends, I don't know what is.

I particularly loved this wedding because it was full of family.  Casey built the arbor they got married under AND the area where they ate (under the twinkling lights and stars).  Their brother and sister and soon to be sister-in- law all stood beside them. Allie's brother officiated the wedding,  Casey's best man was his dad!  UGH I could go on and on!  I love it. I cried a little. It happens.

The flowers were perfect. Classic and elegant.  The Cake was a mix of both Allie and Casey. Everything fit together beautifully.

I just can't say enough wonderful things and I really don't have to.  You can see for yourself..

TIME OUT! I have to add this!  You see this adorable Mrs. Abbott hanger? Annie, Allie's bridesmaid MADE IT! No she didn't order it from Etsy.. that would be too easy!  She made it. How cute is this?

I think its pretty clear that Allie and Casey had a beautiful night and a beautiful start to their life together!! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Abbott!!!

Maternity at the beach!

As a photographer, it's only natural that I want to put people in locations that they might not have thought about before.  SO when I asked if anyone was interested in doing a maternity session.. in and around the ocean and Krystal said YES! I was VERY excited! Of course, I wasn't so worried about the "around" the ocean part, but sticking a pregnant lady in the ocean around sunset can be iffy

First and foremost, I need everyone to be safe and lets face it.. the Ocean is a big scary place. I wasn't worried about a shark encounter, even though I'm pretty much always worried about shark encounters. (it was even discussed on the car ride up, but we were strong!)  I was more worried about slipping or sinking and floating away. But we were SUPER careful!

Second, it could be warm but lets face it.. we knew it was going to be cold in that water.  Krystal and Carson were troopers!  No one fell in, no one washed away and most importantly, WE HAD FUN!

We went to Harkness State Park, which is a beautiful spot. I was hoping to find a spot that provided us with some variety in landscapes and the ocean, so this seemed like the perfect fit!

After some time in the gardens we headed to the beach.  We waited until just before sunset, hoping that the sun would pop out for us. (it never did) BUT we made it work anyway! It was a beautiful night for a session by the water.

Thank you Krystal for joining me on this photo adventure!!
